DISCOVERING MORE ORIGINAL MUSIC AT #AGNESBLUESFEST
The 2021 Agnes Blues, Roots & Rock Festival will be offering even more original music when it kicks off in just a few weeks’ time, with the return of the supporting Discovery Stage. Designed to complement the
Marquee Stage program within the Festival precinct, the Discovery Stage invites music lovers to the Festival to “Discover Original Artists and Their Stories Through Song”.
This second stage encompasses the blues, roots and rock genres with a relaxed, intimate atmosphere; getting up close and personal with the original work of an eclectic range of regional artists from Central Queensland and beyond.
Last year’s Discovery Stage Manager Ken Chynoweth-Tidy is excited to see it returning following its inaugural success in 2020. He says, “This stage looks set to grow every year under a dedicated Festival team, introducing a range of additional original artists and their work to a wider audience with the aim of further developing their profile. I’m delighted to see that some of last year’s Discovery Stage artists are stepping up to perform on the main Marquee Stage this year.”
“2021’s newest batch of Discovery Stage artists are super excited about this opportunity and can’t wait to share their song stories in Agnes Water and 1770 in just a few weeks’ time. Come along to the Festival to enjoy the Main Stage performers, but also spend time chilling out and discovering these talented additional original artists that we have lined up for you on the Discovery Stage.”
Gladstone Regional Council is proud to support the recovery of the Arts and Entertainment Industry through its support of the 2021 Agnes Blues, Roots and Rock Festival.
