Originating from Bundaberg, Chris Dingley has always had a passion for music, backed up by playing and performing skills that come from years of hard work, passion and practice. #AgnesBluesFest is delighted to be welcoming his talents to the Discovery Stage in 2023.
Chris’ engagement with music began in Year 3 through his school’s classical music program when he was handed a cello. His interest in playing guitar at the same time saw his parents also enrolling him in guitar lessons at a Bundaberg studio. Although Chris continued with cello through to Year 12, completing both practical and theoretical AMEB examinations along the way, his love has always been for guitar followed by singing and song writing later on in his music journey.
Chris takes his inspirations from the Aussie Surf Rock scene, performing covers and his own original music regularly at various venues and Festivals across the Wide Bay region.
Chris has been steadily gaining traction in the industry through the original music he has been releasing on digital streaming services.
2022 saw Chris venture down to The Sunshine Coast to commence a music degree at USC and to pursue a career as a performing musician. Watch this space and follow the journey of this talented young emerging artist.
