Due to some ongoing vocal health issues, Lecia Louise has had to make the difficult decision to cancel her scheduled performances on both the #AgnesBluesFest Marquee and Discovery Stages at the event. Local legend PhilM will perform in Lecia’s place on the Discovery Stage Saturday 17 February.
With a truly diverse catalogue of original and cover music, authentic vocals ranging from the intimate to the anthemic and positive lyrical themes featuring a strong world message. A musical performance by PhilM brings a refreshing flavour to any event.
A skilled multi-instrumentalist, supporting every performance with solid, dynamic rhythms and inventive instrument lines, PhilM blends indie pop, reggae, funk, hip hop, country, folk, rock and blues to create his very own brand of unique musical fusion.
PhilM is well known as the lead singer/guitarist of Gladstone based revue bands “The Corporates” and “The Easy Tigers”. He is also the driving force behind original projects “Spacequaver” and “Episode X” and his music has been published and featured in several US television shows.
He has also played in bands featuring veteran performers such as; John Paul Young, Doug Parkinson & Phil Emmanuel among many others. Phil and his musical groups have been supporting acts for Jimmy Barnes, Jon Stevens, The Radiators, Dan Sultan, The Angels, Dragon, The Feelers & many more.
Past performances have included; Hotter than Hell Tour, Variety Bash, Agnes Water Blues & Roots Festival, 1770 Festival, Gladstone Harbour Festival, The Bilby Festival, Gladstone Seafood Festival, Gladstone Beer & Wine Festival, Gladstone Entertainment Centre, Strum Festival, Grass Roots Festival, Melbourne Cup Day, The Mayors Ball, The Barcaldine Outback Festival, Solomon Islands Rotary Club Ball, City Council events, high profile corporate functions & many more.
When he’s not performing, PhilM teaches, writes, records and produces music in his private home studio in Agnes Water, Central Queensland.

Designed to complement the Marquee Stage program within the vibrant Festival precinct at the 1770 SES Grounds and now in its fourth year, the Discovery Stage encompasses the blues, roots and rock genres within a relaxed, intimate atmosphere; getting up close and personal and showcasing original music performed by an eclectic range of entertaining regional artists from Central Queensland and beyond.
