Due to some ongoing vocal health issues, Lecia Louise has had to make the difficult decision to cancel her scheduled performances on both the #AgnesBluesFest Marquee and Discovery stages for 17 and 18 February. Burger Joint have stepped into Lecia’s slot for the Marquee Stage and will be rocking out from 1.15-2.15pm Sunday 17 February.
With songs about dogs at the beach, Chicken Parmys, getting paid, just being yourself and the importance of not just getting a beer for yourself when it’s your shout, Burger Joint really are the people’s band. Whether it’s their hard-hitting song lyrics or the fattest, funkiest tunes you’ve ever heard getting you on the dance floor, one thing is certain, this is where you’ll meet your new best mates.
Burger Joint are G and T-Bone, two motorcycle riding legends of funk and groove, mix annoyingly catchy tunes with saucy loops and tasty beats, dripping with cheese. They also offer up a refreshing celebration of the small wins in life that the world needs to hear. Their wall of sound of funk bass loops, epic lead guitar and tight fat drums with vocal harmonies singing fun tongue-in-cheek lyrics which make you smile as you get on down.
Since their debut gig at Buskers by the Creek Festival in 2016, Burger Joint have played shows all over the Gold Coast and ripped up festivals such as Gumball Festival, Dashville Skyline, Bleach* Festival, Woodford Folk Festival and the Bello Winter Music Festival. They’ve toured through Northern Territory, out to the western deserts of New South Wales and everywhere in between.
Burger Joint ‘s charismatic, funked-up live show is a huge sound with plenty of guitar solos over the back of the head, percussion breakdowns, and a stage presence that is like having a party with your closest mates. With three EPs and a swag of national tours under their belt, Burger Joint take it to the next level with a rowdy party vibe and more songs about the small wins in life. You’d better strap yourselves in and enjoy the ride!
