Get ready to groove at #AgnesBluesFest 2023 with Pete OBrien & Friends on the Discovery Stage.
Pete OBrien has been playing live music for the past 30 years and writing original songs that have often been a force to be reckoned with in helping his local community based around Bundaberg.
Pete’s songs have been played on mainstream radio in the UK, used in schools in the USA and he has also worked with a movie music composer in Vienna. He has performed in Tamworth where he was selected in the top 10 out of 500 for the International Busking Competition and performed as an independent artist alongside 9 other finalists from X Factor, Australia’s Got Talent and The Voice.
2022 has been a crazy year for Pete, performing up and down the Queensland coast as part of the duo 2EZ. He has also achieved amazing success with his original music and a signing to American Indie Record Label ‘9 Lives Records’ in Kentucky.
The release of his ‘WildFire’’ album has seen Pete’s music return to Radio Charts in Australia and the US with excitement growing and still many radio releases to flow from the album.
Pete’s music is described as Country Blues Southern Rock – ‘’ a bit more Keith Urban than Slim Dusty.’’ He will be joined on the Discovery Stage by his brother Mikel and duo partner Evie, who both featured on the ‘WildFire’ album.
