Is Man Kind is a limitless Queensland trio all about providing an unforgettable experience for their audiences. Agnes Blues Roots & Rock Festival can’t wait to welcome them to blow up their main Marquee Stage for the very first time in February 2025.
Imagine the love child of The Doors, Jeff Buckley, Pink Floyd, Santana and Chris Isaak. The songs of Is Man Kind don’t just offer a soundscape, but an escape for a unique moment in time.
First playing together in 2021, Is Man Kind musos Mars Sahara, The Doctor and Capt. Jack found each other through a bit of chance and some sneaky biology. Mars and Doc played as a father/son powerhouse duo in the months prior to forming the three-piece outfit that rocks out today.
Building from the eccentric energy Doc provides on the drums and the musical prowess of Mars, the trio then asked for keys, yes please, from Capt. Jack. This dynamic trio has a uniqueness which comes from the individuality of each person within the group, creating some kind of abstract cohesion.
Influenced by rock, blues and dash of dark country, Is Man Kind will make you feel warm and fuzzy one moment and wanting to do a triple backflip without spilling a drop of beer the next. They’ve shared stages with Australian legends including the Hoodoo Gurus, The Radiators, Spy V Spy and The Hard Ons (Tim Rogers).
Get ready for a wild ride with Is Man Kind making their #AgnesBluesFest Marquee Stage debut from 1.15-2.15pm Saturday 22nd February 2025. This powerhouse trio are more than ready to blow you away with their eccentric energy and a dynamic, rock-hard performance!
