Combining onstage presence, energy and power-house performances, Dezzie D and The Stingrayz are set to get #AgnesBluesFest audiences jumping out of their skin and transported back to the era of 40’s and 50’s Rhythm & Blues, Jazz, Jump, Swing and American Juke Joint Halls’.
Formed with the passion of the early Rhythm and Blues music of yesteryear, these Festival favourites aim to stay true to that old school sound.
Appearing internationally, interstate and regularly at venues in their home base of Brisbane, they’ve earned a reputation of faithfully performing originals and unique takes on the classic sounds of the 40’s, 50’s and 60’s with irresistible grooves to enthuse every audience.
With upbeat music, dynamic vocals, tight grooves and explosive horns, Dezzie D and The Stingrayz provide a fresh, unique and exciting musical experience of ‘Resurrected Rhythm and Blues” in a magnificent showcase spectacle of sight and sound they’re uniquely renowned for.
Following the release of their first CD ‘Cranked’ in 2017 which debuted on the Australian Blues Music Charts, The Stingrayz released ‘Scorched’ in 2020, a compilation of originals and covers with a brand-new sound that is now a unique signature of their performances.
The Stingrayz have performed at NZ’s Bay Of Islands Jazz & Blues Festival as well as Blues on Broadbeach, Woodford Folk Festival, Jumpers and Jazz and the Cooly Rocks on Nostalgia Festival, to name a few. #AgnesBluesFest can’t wait to welcome them to their Marquee Stage in February 2023.
