Powerhouse artist Lecia Louise is getting ready to rock #AgnesBluesFest for the first time in 2024.
From rock to blues to Americana and soul, Lecia Louise embraces her musical diversity with accomplished virtuosity, not only as a guitarist but also as a singer-songwriter.
As a result of her single release “My Everything” storming run to Number 1 on the Triple J Unearthed Charts across ALL genres, Lecia has continued to mesmerise audiences in her sell-out shows.
‘Clean, elegant, tasty playing!!! I watched 3 times!!! Shred on!!!!!’ raved Alice Cooper’s guitarist Nita Strauss after seeing Lecia perform. Malcolm Foster, bassist for The Pretenders and Simple Minds, is also a big fan, acknowledging Lecia as ‘a seriously cool guitarist as well as a fantastic singer’.
Having performed at many festivals such as Blues on Broadbeach, Tamworth, Woodford Folk Festival, Woodford’s Dreaming Festival, Mullumbimby festival, Sunshine Rock and Blues Festival, Airlie Beach Music Festival, The Deni Ute Muster and more, Lecia has also enjoyed passing on her knowledge through workshops and music lessons and was selected as a tutor and key performer at the Adelaide International Guitar Festival in 2022.
Lecia’s career commenced with a Bachelor of Popular Music with Honors in 2004 and she has continued to be a highly sought-after session guitarist ever since as well as being an acclaimed performing artist in her own right.
Lecia’s musical journey has taken her on tours to Hong Kong, the USA, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Italy, The Netherlands, the UK, New Zealand, Singapore and across the length and breadth of her home country, Australia. She has shared the bill with some of Australia’s greatest acts such as The Black Sorrows, Thirsty Merc, Jon Stevens, Don walker, Daryl Braithwaite, Grinspoon, The Baby Animals, James Morrison, Phil Emmanuel and many more.
On her decision to choose music as her profession Lecia says “As a creative individual, the ability to write, record and perform my own songs is an incredibly rewarding experience. As a qualified teacher I also get to share my musical journey with a wide range of students. I especially love doing master classes and workshops and see the next generation of musicians growing into potential music professionals of the future.”
An award-winning songwriter and performer, Lecia’s original music has been featured on TV, and radio stations nationally and internationally. She has a loyal fan base which has seen her support grow through years of hard touring and her blistering performances at a number of Rock and Blues festivals around Australia.
Lecia is currently recording her next body of work and has some singles soon to be released. She has a growing discography spanning 2005 to now, including full releases and singles.
