As well as rocking out the main Marquee stage with her band Raining Roses, seasoned CQ singer-songwriter Sophie Rose Raymond will also be performing a solo set on the more intimate Discovery Stage at the Agnes Blues Roots & Rock Festival in February.
Sophie Rose Raymond is the lead singer of Raining Roses, a rock/pop band from Rockhampton. She has been writing and performing on various stages since she was 11 years old. With over 13 years of stage experience under her belt, Sophie is no stranger to live performances and can tailor her performances to suit any crowd.
Originally a country/folk singer, Sophie learned her craft by competing in country music festivals in her early teens and performing at many festivals and events around Queensland. She recorded an album called “I Am A Warrior” with Bill Chambers in 2018 which was released at The Tamworth Country Music Festival. The CD will be available to purchase at the #AgnesBluesFest merch tent.
In 2020, Raining Roses was created and collaborating with her bandmates allowed Sophie to explore a more pop/rock and blues sound. The band is currently working on new original music which has evolved their style into a more alternative rock, post grunge and pop/punk vibe.
Don’t miss the mesmerising, multi-talents of Sophie Rose Raymond, performing a very special solo set on the #AgnesBluesFest Discovery Stage from 12.45pm-1.30pm on Sunday 23 February 2025. You’ll be energised, empowered and inspired by her multi-genre, original music grooves.
