Festival organisers have just released the inclusion of an International blues artist in the lineup – EUGENE HIDEAWAY BRIDGES!
Eugene is an acclaimed American blues singer, songwriter and guitarist who has been performing since he was five. He was raised in Louisiana and now enjoys life as a nomadic musician. Eugene has performed at Byron Bay Bluesfest several times and is full of character and tunes to make you move.
In August this year, Eugene was awarded by the Jusa Blues Music Foundation for his outstanding contribution to continuing to keep the style of traditional Blues alive – what a great award! The Albert King Lifetime Award, a?the Lucy Awarda? honoured his outstanding blues and soul music.
Eugene says he inherited his guitar skills from his Bridges side and his voice from the Bullock side, his motheras family. The Bullock family includes Tina Turner, so festival organisers are sure the Agnes Water venue will be the perfect place for his sound to soar!
